Kalpana Davarlia and her team gave me excellent care and advice from start to finish. Kalpana was very calm and approachable, I felt I could ask her anything. They have even telephoned me at the weekend after my discharge to check I was ok and not in pain (never have I received care like that before).
The only two things I gave 4 stars were for the fact I didnt receive my Lactulose with my medications for home and Ive had an appointment made for a post op 2 days after my surgery, which I have been told is incorrect it should be September, which they are sorting out for me. Excellent hospital, clean and 5 star service. I would definitely recommend anybody to use Cleaveland Clinic going on the service I have received so far....
There are some questions that are not applicable. I was not told cost as it is through insurance.
I went in as a day case (day surgery for umbilical hernia). Not too sure which floor I was on but I thought it was the first floor. The nurse that was looking after me was very considerate and helpful. Her name was Nurse Titilayo, unfortunately I don’t know her surname. She explained everything in detail and looked after me before and after the operation extremely well.
During my consultation the phone of the consultant kept ringing (twice) as the secretary kept phoning in for what seemed to me as non emergency matters. I therefore found this entirely unacceptable if not ridiculous. Had the phone rang a third time I would have complained and made fuss about it. I do not even have insurance, I pay from my own pocket for the service received from Cleveland and this is NOT acceptable.
In addition I was sent to 40 Grosvenor place and not 33 and that resulted in me being late 30 minutes. This was however probably an honest mistake that I will overlook.
I was totally satisfied with all aspects of the clinic
Everything was exemplary however, after the MRI I was offered a sandwich which was very considerate but the sandwich was past it's sell by date!
